A little case of the 24 hr flu

We had such a great time last weekend...it was BEAUTIFUL on Saturday so we went to the park. It was chilly but SO nice. It felt like spring.








Gabe woke up on Monday morning feeling fine. He seemed in good spirits and happy. We dropped him off with my mom and left for work. My mom got the brunt of it...all of the throwing up happened with her.
He threw up all of his milk and breakfast and then he played quietly for a while before going down for a nap. When mom went to get him afterward he then proceeded to throw up all over her. :o(
Mom brought him back to our house and was able to get some toast down him and some water. He took another nap and woke up just wanting to be held.

When we got home I pretty much held him for the rest of the night. He didn't throw up again but he was so weak and he had a temperature of 102.5. It was so sad.
At one point he was lying next to me in bed and he said very weakly "water". :o(

Not feeling so good...


Glad that is over and he's back to my happy baby!

clean up

bed
Get up and do it all again...

Some day's things change a little like you know when Bill Murry starts doing things differently during the day.
So, I'm not necessarily complaining...I can tell you one thing though...I don't get near enough time with my little guy.

January always seems to get away from me. I don't know if I'm just so busy in December that I go into a kind of vacation mode or what....but blogging and picture taking definitely went on vacation. So here are some of the fun things we did in January.

New Years Day...this is how exciting our household was...

That evening it was pouring down rain to the point of scary on the roads. We ended up going to PRW on their last day of their light show. We got coffee and Jaden and Gabe drove. ;o)

We watched K one night and had a total blast! We did animal sounds while we ate dinner, We made a fort to hide from the "tiger" aka Calie and Kambrie was a dinosaur.






We celebrated Mom and Bryan's B-day!





And we got to have a nice dinner with Randy and Michelle while Kaleb and Garren who I watched since they were born watched Gabe. Gabe had a blast with them!

And last but not least...we found Gabe sleeping sideways in his bed the other night. SO cute!
