Weekend FUN
Saturday Gabe and Bryan met his dad at Heavenly Donuts for an hour then we did a few errands. After a quick lunch we stopped at the Imagination Station for some fun! Gabe had fun exploring with, and being chased by daddy.

Words can not express how tired we are this morning. Yesterday was a BLAST, but exhausting! We went to church, came home had a quick lunch then packed up everything and headed to the waterfront for their firework festivities.

Bryan has today off, but we aren't going to do all that much. I am going grocery shopping, Bryan is putting in the AC unit in our room and we're going to laz around!
5 MORE DAYS!!!!!!
He ended up falling asleep on the way home so he rested from 4-5. We had homemade pizza and then we went to McDonald's for their $1 sundaes and a redbox movie.

32 weeks
We got pictures done. There was a special for Mother's day. Sitting fee, 1 8x10, 1 5x7 and 4 wallets for $19.
I wish that Gabe was smiling more, but alas this is my VERY stubborn 3 yr old right now. I still like it and will put it up in our bedroom when we get it.

Still can't believe that I'm at the point where I had Gabe. Can't believe that my blood pressure is doing well and how prepared we are for this little guys arrival. This will be a whole new experience for us, of course with the adjustment of having 2, but also that I may go full term and have him in the room with me and all that comes along with that. We haven't scheduled the c-section yet. Just taking it week by week.
My energy level has gone down again. I'm very tired and can't do too much without feeling like I'm going to fall over.
Bryan and I got the chance to get away for the weekend. I was hesitant to do it just because we are pretty tight on money. All in all I'm glad we did it. I think that we would have regretted it if we hadn't. We didn't go far...Beaverton/Hillsboro...lol.
We dropped Gabe off with Gamma and got an early check in at noon. We grabbed lunch and then we went to the employee store, Kohls to take something back and a few other stores. We went to Barnes and Noble...sat there and read for a while. That was very relaxing.
It was nuts over there on Saturday! I don't know if it's like that all the time over there, but everyone and their dog was out shopping. The parking lots were full, the lines were long...it felt like last minute Christmas shopping or the day after. CRAZY!
We had an early dinner and got back to the Hotel around 6:30. We had late checkout the next morning and got to sleep in. It was AWESOME!

Weekend
I have always loved weekends, especially when I was working full time. I loved getting to sleep in when we didn't have Gabe, I love are routine now WITH Gabe, getting to spend time with family and friends, resting, getting things done around the house, being lazy, NOT working etc.
I still LOVE weekends for lots of the same reasons, but now that I'm not working and Bryan is working A LOT, I look forward to the time the three of us get to have together on the weekends. I cherish it.
This weekend has been amazing. I love the tidbits of sun that come out in the winter and just as spring is approaching. It's been beautiful here and I love being outside and the motivation and joy that it gives me.
We started off the weekend driving up to WA for my Grandma's memorial. It was all bittersweet to me. I think that I've not aloud myself to get too emotional about her passing. I think I've buried it up inside and my sister said something about having that childlike thought that Grandma would ALWAYS be around. My other sister said that when we got to the house it felt as if there was a void in there and I didn't feel that way. I kind of felt like she was still there. I could still smell that smell of Johnson's baby oil or lotion that she always put on and the house still sort of looked like it did when she was there. All the things in the right places. She always had little garbage cans in the back room. I showed Gabe this marble game that I always played as a kid.
She was an amazing women, very elegant and proper. She had Nordstrom's clothes and shoes. Her hair was always perfect and she would wear sweat suits to be comfortable.
She was always right about everything, especially politics.
She made us sit at the table until all of our veggies were gone at least she thought they were gone. I could always find this little pocket in the back of my mouth and would excuse myself to the bathroom, spit it out and flush the toilet. I think that she would be proud now that I do eat my veggies and actually like broccoli and asparagus.
She loved to go camping and I loved going with her. She would go camping for almost the whole summer sometimes and always at the same spot.
She loved us grandchildren more than anything.
She would buy us these amazing dresses and take us to the nutcracker around Christmas time.
She was a grandma who would come down to visit and not get mad when they were leaving to go home and I wanted to go with them. We would leave and I would change my mind multiple times which means we left and turned around to go back home, left for WA again, turned around to go back home and left for WA yet again.
She was a Christian and I am glad that she is now at home with the Father and in NO pain. I can't wait to see her again!
The memorial was hard but I loved listening to the family and others talk about her life.

Me and my Grandma campingAfter the memorial, reception and dinner with the family we drove home. Bryan had an important meeting in the morning so we couldn't stay. It was great to be with family though and remember my Grandma.
Saturday Gabe woke up at 7:45 and didn't want to get out of bed. He just wanted to stay there, so I took my time getting up and puttered around the house getting laundry completely done and put away. At about 9 I didn't hear him so I went to check on him and he was asleep. Friday must have wiped him out because he didn't wake back up until 11. We got ready, ate breakfast and left to meet Marcia, Keira and Mia at the park. The beautiful weather was very deceiving because it was still very chilly and windy out. I didn't wear a coat or sweatshirt which was not smart, but it was fun anyway.

Memorial Day 2009
SO, I've had better weekends. I was sick the whole week before this weekend and I unfortunately still didn't feel good this weekend. Thankfully, Gabe seems to be better and we did manage to have a good time and get out in the beautiful weather despite it.
Bryan got off early Friday, BBQ with Friends Saturday, BBQ with family Sunday, Bryan finished his mockup for Vibe of Portland, playing in the pool and we finished off the weekend with another BBQ with friends.
Here are a few favorite pics:

What a weekend
We had a fun weekend complete with spontaneous Blazer game parties with friends, Sister time for me which = some Gabey/daddy time, Roller skating, good talks, grocery shopping with a great shopping partner, and exhaustion.
Friday Bryan left work a little early to go over to where him and Dan workout. The Manager there is wanting a new logo done and they want to get t-shirts and some other stuff done too. He talked with him for a about an hour and came home. I fed Gabe dinner and then we left for Travis and Moo's for a spontaneous Blazer game party. It was out back and the game was playing in their garage. It was a lot of fun. It was cold though so Travis lit there outside heater which was awesome. We left around 9ish and got Gabe home and into bed. Then I headed over to Kate's to chat and Bryan worked on Filter 7 stuff.
Saturday we were going to have a baby shower for Janell, but most everyone that we were going to invite had already given her a gift so we just had some sister time and then a fun lunch where my mom, Nancy (mom's friend) and Janell's friend met up with us.
Pedicure's with my sisters
I got home around 3:30ish and got to spend some time with my little guy and then I left to meet at Teresa's to go roller skating. It had been about 6 or 7 years since I've gone. It was a total blast and good exercise to boot.

Bryan spent most of the weekend doing freelance stuff and working on his business Filter 7. After I went grocery shopping with Kate on Sunday and got all the food put away, Gabe and I headed over to her house for dinner/ice cream, playtime and the another Blazer game of course.
This week I have seriously been dragging (obviously since it took this long to post about our weekend). Tired, no energy, just blah...I was thinking maybe I was coming down with something but I woke up this morning to the sun shinning and suddenly I felt GREAT!
I think we need to move where the sun shines all the time! ;o)
