Wells Fargo update

We waited to talk to someone at Wells Fargo for about 30 mins and then when we got done explaining everything and he looked up Bryan's SS number (found NOTHING), looked up the account number (found NOTHING) and last looked up Bryan * R*****. He did end up finding a Bryan * R***** but this person lives in Minnasota. WTH?! So they did just pick a random guy (MY Bryan) and dump this on him. This has NOTHING to do with us! The dude called the loss and recovery # and they said that they don't have any record of this and it's in the IRS's hands now so we have to call this other number. This is such BULL I mean come on with what we looked up it's obvious that this isn't our thing. At one point the guy said while waiting on hold "you're a myth" and I said UM well he should be since HE'S NEVER HAD AN ACCOUNT HERE! SIGH so Bryan called the number first thing the next morning.

He called the # that next morning and the lady looked up Bryan’s info and told him that it DID have to do with some bad financial decisions that he made 12 years ago. This just didn’t seem right and so Bryan researched more. He called the IRS and the Wells Fargo in San Francisco and they couldn’t find anything on him. They said it couldn’t be an auto loan (which the lady said it was)…it was a student loan which made sense because of all those dang phone calls we were getting for 2 years. We got an extension and a statement from Wells Fargo saying that this has nothing to do with us and we’ll get all the documents together and get it sent off to the IRS. What a mess!
